Abstract The aim of the work Is to study the heart rate variability as an index for autonomic dysfunction in obesity and also the relation between obesity and left ventricular mass. From this study we conclude 1- Obesity is associated with autonomic nervous system dysfunction. 2- Autonomic alterations in obesity indicate depression in parathympathetic modulation and increase in sympathetic activity. 3- Obesity is associated with increase left ventricular mass. |
