Abstract

The study conclude that drug dependence is an epidemic problem in Egypt affecting the most important back bone in our society youth. Dependence is more common among students in Cairo governorate than in students in el-minia governorate. Also technical school students have a wider access to drugs if compared with secondary school students. Additionally bango is found to be the most commonly abused drug among dependent students. The study also showed the serious and the severe detrimental toxic effects of bando abuse on health in comparison with the less serious effect of pure hashish abuse. Also adulterated hashish give more toxic signs and parameters when compared with pure hashish which caused more or less insignificant toxicity.
