Abstract
Prianil c-r is a valuable oral drug,used extensively in the treatment of manic-depressive disorders.it has the chemical formula li2co3.lithium was discovered in 1817 by arfwedson,who recognizd the element as a constituent of the mineral petalite (c.f.kline,1973i in1859,garrod introduced lithium into medicine for the cure of gout and uric acid calculi(c.f.schou et al.,1954).later,numerous reports have been published and resulted in the acceptable use of lithium in the treatment of certain kinds.
