Abstract in this work an alkaline electrolysis system is designed and constructed to produce pydrogen (H2) using photovoltaic ( PV) panels as a source of electric oower the system was experimentally installed tested and optimized under the weather conditions of Cairo [30 N, 23 S] moreover the system is numerically simulated and validated by expermental data.the considered system consists of a fixed and 30 titled PV array that can feed the hydrogen cell by required electrical power .the hydrogen cell is a rectangular container which made from acrylic material . two electrodes are used as a cathode and anode which are partially immersed in an alkaline solution A direct coupling between PV and hydrogen cell without any regulators were used. |
