المستخلص

Cognitive dysfunction including Mild cognitive impairment is one of the most distressing health problems found in elderly population and its estimated prevalence in the general population is 19% among individuals age<75, and 29%
in those age>85.
Subjects with Mild cognitive impairment may progress to dementia, may continue to have MCI or may improve. Studies indicated that, on average 10% of subjects with MCI develop dementia at each year of follow up and half of patients progress to dementia in a span of five years or fewer.
Early identification of Mild cognitive impairment gives patients and caregivers time to prepare for life style changes and plan for the future and may delay the progress to dementia with proper management and modification of risk factors.
Montreal Cognitive Assessment is the most sensitive and short cognitive test to detect MCI in clinical practice.
Parkinsonian Features occur in 15 to 40%of community-dwelling older people, and are associated with functional impairment. Parkinsonian Features increase in severity over time and they are associated with incident dementia.
This study aimed to find the association between Parkinsonian features and MCI and the relation between Parkinsonian features and the severity of MCI.
