Abstract This work includes an analvsis of the electrohvdraulic control system for wave • J J generating machine which consists of hydraulic power pack and serve actuator. The study includes an extensive theoretical and experimental investigation ’of the electrohydraulic serve valve (EHSV) and the electrohydraulic servo actuator (EHSA), A detailed nonlinear mathematical model describing the dynamic behavior of EHSV and EHSA is developed, The developed mathematical model is used for the computer simulation of the EHSV and EHSA using the TUTSIM-7 simulation program, The transient response of the EHSV is evaluated theoretically and compared with experimental results given by the manufacturer. A good agreement was found between the simulation’ and experimental results, which validates the simulation program of the servo valve.
