Abstract
In this study , the mutagenic effects of the contraceptive hormones: Ethinyloestradiol, levonorgestrel and a combination of both of them were studies using male mice. It can be concluded that , the oral contraceptive hormones, ethinyloestradiol, levonorqestrel or combination of both , are non mutagenic, using this mutagenicity detecting system, however, their effects could be added to other exoqenous or endogenous risk factors which should be avoided in oral contraceptive users.
