Abstract English Abstract In this study the blood samples were collected from 102 diseased ducks from different localities in Dammietta governorate. Examination of blood samples were by dark field microscope. Examination of stained blood films were done by oil immersion microscope. They revealed that 3 ducks (2.9%) were infected. Experimental infection in duckling using Borrelia anserina of duck origin (recovered from diseased ducks examined during the present investigation) and laboratory strain of Borrelia anserina recovered from chicken was carried out. The results indicated that Borrelia anserina of ducks and that of chicken may be different regarded pathogenisty and virulence.
