Abstract: This study aims to recognize the effectiveness of counseling program for modifying the overt aggressive behavior by free play for disabled children – educable with controlling the expected infuence for the variable of chronological age , the variable of economic social level and the variable of intelligence quotient.
The current study aimed to achieve of validity or not validity the following hypotheses :
1 – There are no statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test into control group in the overt aggressive behavior.
2 - There are statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test into experimental group in the overt aggressive behavior.
3 - There are no statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups pre-test and post-test in the overt aggressive behavior.
4 - There are statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups in modifying the overt aggressive behavior after doing the program.
5 - There are no statistically significant differences between the second and the third testes into control group in the overt aggressive behavior.
6 - There are no statistically significant differences between the second and the third testes into experimental group in the overt aggressive behavior.
Sample of the Study :
The sample of study in its final form consisted of (20) twenty students , aged from 10 to 15 years and divided into two groups, the first one is experimental , and the other one is control., after fixing the variable of chronological age, the variable of economic social level , and the intelligence quotient, and then making matching between the two groups.
Instruments of the Study :
The current study used the following instruments :
(1) – Stanford – Bienet
(2) – Economic social level scale.
(3) – Adaptive behavior Scale – second section
The counseling program :
The researcher used a counseling program for modifying the overt aggressive behavior by free play for disabled children as following:
1 – He chose about 20 students from one school who suffer from mentally handicap
2 – There researcher omitted out the following students:
A – The students who increase over 15 years
B – The students who are less than 10 years.
C – The students who don’t attend regularly.
3 – The researches used free play for modifying the overt aggressive behavior for disabled children..
4 – The program lasted about three months.
5 – The researches tested the program by some experients and they all decided it successfully.
Statistical Methods:
The researcher has used Wilcoxon Test . It ’s one of the best nonparametric tests, which compare between two groups matched and have little number individuals.
Results of the Study :
The hypotheses of the study had achieved except for the hypothis number five as following :
1 – There are no statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test into control group in the overt aggressive behavior.
2 - There are statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test into experimental group in the overt aggressive behavior.
3 - There are no statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups pre-test and post-test in the overt aggressive behavior.
4 - There are statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups in modifying the overt aggressive behavior after doing the program.
5 - There are statistically significant differences between the second and the third measurements into control group in the overt aggressive behavior.
6 - There are no statistically significant differences between the second and the third testes into experimental group in the overt aggressive behavior.
