Abstract Four field experiments were carried out in sandy soil under sprinkler irrigation condition, two in 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 winter seasons, cultivating barley (Hordeum vulgar., CV Giza 123) and other two in 2005 and 2006 summer seasons, cultivating sesame (Sesmun indicum, L., CV Shandweel 3). The main objectives of this study were to determine the effect of irrigation intervals using evaporation pan coefficient and nitrogen fertilization for barley and the effect of irrigation intervals using the evaporation pan method and phosphorous fertilization for sesame, on plant characters, crop yields and their component as well as some plants water relationships. The main results can be summarized as follows: |
