Abstract
The current study is an extention of the previous investigations concerning the problem of widening the maxillary deficient spical base. br It is a difficult task to realize the precise limits that induce clinically acceptable and almost stable result. br Ten patients were treated for maxillary apical base dificiency y means of apening the midpalatal suture witha rigid fixed split-palate device.
