Abstract

In this chapter the analytical study has been considered for the two dimensional peri-staltic motion of magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat transfer for incompressible General-ized Newtonian fluid through a porous medium in uniform channel with a sinusoidal wave.
The system is influenced by a uniform magnetic …eld. The problem is formulated and analyzed using a perturbation expansion in terms of a variant of the Weicsenberg number.
Carreau flow is considered in this study to investigate the e¤ect of porous medium.
An analytic forms for axial velocity, pressure gradient and heat transfer have been obtained.
The results were studied for various values of the physical parameters of the problem and illustrated graphically.
The aim of this chapter to study the e¤ect of hall current on magnetohydrodynamic fluid with heat and mass transfer for incompressible Generalized Newtonian fluid through
a porous medium between two non-conducting parallel porous plates. The upper plate is at rest and the lower plate is oscillating in its plane, in presence of uniform magnetic eld where the strength of the magnetic …eld is very large (hall current). In this work the absorption of heat and chemical reaction terms are considered.

In this chapter we discussed the problem of magnetohydrodynamic fluid with heat and mass transfer for incompressible Generalized Newtonian fluid in two-dimensional motion
between a long wavy wall and a parallel flat wall through a porous medium in presence of uniform magnetic eld.
The momentum equation, heat equation and mass equation have been solved analytically subject to a set of appropriate boundary conditions by using
perturbation technique.
The results are studied for various values of the physical parameters of the problem such as M magnetic parameter, Re the Reynold number, Pr the Prandtl number, E is the Eckert number, Sr is the Soret number and Sc the Schmidt number and illustrated graphically.
