Abstract
Twenty five kidneys wez e injected with coloured gum milk and other five ’with plasted to obtain casts for the d- istribution of the renal artery ; both groups were digested in a 25% potassium
hydroxide solution. In addition three kidneys were injected ’with 20% barium. sulphate and photographed by X-rays for the Same purpose. The histological was conducted on -Paraffin sections, 5 microns thick, stained with Haematioxy and eosin after indian ink-serium injection as well as with Weigeht elastica and Van Gisson J s stains. The results obtained Viers discussed and compo.xative anatomical differencos o£ L’1.terest have been given when- ever found necessary. The nomenclature used is that adopted by Nomina Anatomica VeterLl1.aria, 2nd edition (1973).
