Abstract
The present work aims to the estimation of neodymium spectrophotometrically through the reaction with a chromophoric reagent in a manner to establish a sensitive, rapid and accurate method for neodymium analysis in different lanthanide concentrates. In the present work, the chromophoric reagent, methylthymol blue MTB, was suggested and was examined for its ability to form a stable complex formed. The method is based on the formation of the colored Nd-MTB-CPC complex. For providing and confirming the distinguished bahavior of the above mentioned dye and surfactant for the spectrophotometric determination of neodymium. A variety parameters have been studied.
