The bitter lakes is boumded by latituded 30 : 15 - 32 - 32 , E, and covers an area of about 232km2.
rift system. this chapter is devoted to summariez the results and conclusuions revealed from physiographic features , regional geology , seismcity of the bitterlakes and itsbvicinity, moreover, thje fisheries status and landcover/lamd use map for the area of study.
the Geo-environmental assessment and monitor environmental conditions overall bitter lakes revwealed that : 1- The Bitter lakes is the most important water body along the suez canal ,
2- the bitter lakes physiographic features represent different activities along the shireline lie tourism village.
3-Remote swensing and geographic information system (GIS) are now providing new tools for advanced ecosystem management.
the land use/land cover pattern of a region is an outcome of natural and socio-economic factors and their utilization by msan in time and space.
in this study changes between dates of satellite images and that lake boundary was decreased in area resulted from deeping processes of the suez canal navigation way and accumlated of sediments out in the eastern shore. also the bitter lakes had suffering from oil pollution resulted fromships that pass through the lake or wait on it.
