Abstract

A total number of 85 Egyptian Balady sheep, belonged to the faculty of agriculture farm, Minia University at Minia Governorate, Upper Egypt were used in this study, of them 35 female over 2 years old, 20 females 8-12 months old, 15 males 8-12 years old and 15 males over 2 years old. Of these animals 20 ones were clinically healthy described into 4 groups of 5 animal in each sex and age and were used as control where group 1,2,3,4 were males 8-12 months old, females 8-12 months old, males over 2 years old awl females over years old respectively. Group 5,6,7,8,9 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 were the diseased group where each group was 5 animals except group 15 which was is animals divided in 3 subgroups 15a, 5b and 15, where each subgroup was 5 animals subgroups 15a, 15b and ISc were used to carry on them traditional treatment on group ISa and on group 1 5b and 1 Sc varying doses of antibiotics and vitamin C to make an evaluation of the role of vitamin C in the treatment of diseased cases. The diseased groups from 5 to 15 were of different ages and sexes and suffering from different diseases of runñnal and intestinal types as follow:
Group 5 males 8-12 months old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 6 males over 2 years old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 7 females 8-12 months old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 8 females over 2 years old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 9 males 8-12 months old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 10 males over 2 years old suffering from simple indigestion.
Group 11 females 8-12 months old suffering from simple indigestion
Group 12 females over 2 years old suffering from simple indigestion.
