Abstract Effect of feeding boiled oil at 15 % level in the diet on serum lipid , immunoglobulin E and blood reduced glutathione and super oxide dismutese were studied in rats. Cotton seed oil of wide spread usage in Egypt as apolyunsaturated fats was chosen for this study after boiling for 6 hrs, 12 hrs, 24 hrs, 48 hrs and 72 hrs. Highr serum total lipids and cholestrol lipids were observed in group of rats supplemented with boiled cotton seed oil (50g/kg. 150g/kg ration) compared to control group and corresponding non-heated oil groups. |
