Abstract Pollution has been considered to be a hazard to health that causes ill effects to livestock, Manquahad Super—Phosphate Faeory , Assiut Province emitted hydrofluoric acid (HF), sulphur, sulphur dioxide and sulphur trioxide gases which pollute the areas around the factory. br The present study have been carried out to investigate the effecL of fluoride and sulphur compounds intoxication on the healthy condition of camels. br During this investigation 114 camels were chosen -#102;-#114;-#111;-#109; different areas at various distances -#102;-#114;-#111;-#109; the facLory.ihe affected animals showed various clinical signs of chronic fluorine and sulphur intoxications . These signs included emaciation, paleness of the mucous membranes, anaemia, general poor health and dental lesions, in the form of staining, mottling, brownish discolouration and wearing of the teeth. br Analysis of camel’s blood sera was carried out to determine their fluoride and sulphur contents, as well as their relations with haematological picture and some serum cons t itu e n t s. br Haematological picture included the total erythrocytic countRBC), total and differential leukocytic counts, Hb, PCV, MCV, MCH and MCHC. |
