Socket surgery is mandatory in some patients to treat the diseased globe, to save the other eye or even to save the patient’s own life. With the evolution of the orbital implants, both good functional and cosmetic appearance can be obtained. A new technique “purse string suture” is done to approximate the four recti after primary enucleation and primary ball implantation in a prospective study of ten patients and the outcome is observed regarding post-operative complications and implant mobility
