Abstract
the objective of this work was to study the effect of different organic manures (cattle maunre, sheep manure and chken manure) at 30, 40 and 50 m3/fed, chemical fertilization NPK at 6 rates , GA3 at 5 concentrations (50, 100, 150, 200 and 245 ppm) and pp333 at 5 concentrations (25, 50 75, 100 and 125 ppm)on the vegetatiative growth, flowering, bulb production and chemical composition of polianthes tuberosa L. The results showed that the application of all types of organic manure especially cattle manure at 50 m3/fed was the best treatment for enhancing the vegetative growth and increasing the unmber and fresh weight of florets/stalk of polianthes tuberosa L. Application at NPK with at the highest rate (350:350:200 kg/fed) was the best treatment for enhancing the vegetative growth, fowering, bulb production and chemical composition of polianthes tuberosa. Allconcentration of GA3 was more effective on enhancement of the vegetative growth, flowering, bulb production and chemical composition especially at the highest concentration(250 ppm) of polianthes tuberosa. PP333 at 50 ppm produced the tallest stalk/ plant but pp333 at 125 ppm produced the highest number and heaviest fresh weight of florets and pp333 at 25 ppm produced the highest number and heaviest fresh weight of bulbs and bulblets.
