المستخلص

The Yemeni migration is among the oldest kinds of migration.
It was a collective migration after the rapture of Mareb Dam. The
Xlfe i~cniP eopk travelled North and south and established new
civilizations. With the advent of Islam, Yemeni migration participated
greatly in spreading ,the new religion to the east in Asia and to the
west in Africa and Europe at the hands of sailors and merchants.
External Yemeni migration was -the first base for the cultural,
social, economic and civilizational development in Yemen. This type
of migration helped to connect the Yemeni Society with other
civilizations, transmitting new ideals and thoughts. The external
migration was reflected on the Yemeni family which had many
changes in its structure and functions. Regarding the dominant gender
aspect in the family, Feminism of the Yemeni family become
widespread, an aspect commonly spread in the drab countries that
send out workforce.
Since the migrants leave the family members, the wife and the
children, this also led to unstability in the structure of the family.
Other results were weakness of the values of self-respect and
respecting the familial, religious values of co-operation and interassistance.
Some problems appeared as a result of the lack of commitment
on the part of the father, or the responsibie, iuwai-ds the finaiicial
duties of his famiry members. Sometimes the problems result from
the weakness of the tie connecting the father to the family members.
