المستخلص The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using the scientific marvels approach in developing some scientific concepts for pre-school children. The sample of the study consisted of 70 male and female children taken from the Kindergarten of Al-Tahrir Experimental Primary School in Assiut City. The children’s age ranged between 5:6 years old. The following tools were used in the present study: (1) Scientific concepts identification inventory; (2) A pictorial test for scientific concepts; (3) A scale for measuring the kindergarten children’s understanding of some scientific concepts in the field of science; (4) Draw-a-man test for estimating the children’s intelligence; (5) Marvels standard for Pre-school children; (6) A set of scientific marvels for pre-school children; (7) A teacher’s guide for using the scientific marvels approach with children. The following results were obtained from the present study: 1-There are no statistically significant differences between the means of scores of the control group children in the pre and post-administration of the concepts tackled in the present study. 2-There are statistically significant differences between the means of scores of the control group children and those of the experimental group in the post-administration of the pictorial scientific concepts test in favor of the experimental group. 3-There are statistically significant differences between the means of scores of the pre-administration and those of the post-administration of the experimental group in favor of the post-administration of the pictorial scientific concepts test.
