Abstract
This study aimed to evaluated the effect of how thorn herb with different levels on normal, diabetic, high cholesterol, disorders of liver function in white male albino rates. The obtained date could be summarized as follows :1- Chemical composition : Moisture content in how thorn herb was 16.87 while protein, ash 9.4% and carbohydrate contents( 26.2%), respectively.2- Biological experiment This experiment evaluated the effect of how thorn with different levels on blood glucose level in diabetic rats , high cholesterol and disorders of liver function rates. There fore all rates (50albino rates) were feed on basal diet for one week before starting the experiment for acclimatization . after this period , the rates were divided into 10 groups (5 rats each), all groups was feed for 28 days. group 1: this group fed on standard diet only as a negative control (healthy).group 2: this group fed on standard diet containing 5% ht(powder). group 3: this group fed on standard diet containing 10%.
