Abstract
this study was carried out using 3 herbs *barley, cinchona and elecampane* and 3 dietary fibeers*chicory, chard and guar gum* which are commonly used in egypt.rats were divided into 8 groups 6 rats in each group and fed several diets for 28 days as follows after 4 weeks the effect of the different experimental diets on body weight gain, food intake, feed efficiency ratio, organs relative weight,glucose, glycoylated, liver function, kidney function, blood lipid profile and liver lipid profile were determined.
