Piroplasmosis is a oroup of hi9hly foltal and economJ.cally lmport~n diseases of livestock. These diseases are caused by protozoan parasites belonqlng to Family Babesiidae and Fa i1y Theileriidaeo,f suborder piro - pla.smidae (Levine” 1961l. Theilerial parasit”!s affect wide ange of mammals mainly, ruminants and are particul rly important as pathogens of dornesti~ ettIe, sheep and goats in the tropical nd sub ropical re9ion~. TropicCll Theileriosis or !4edi terranean Coast Fever caused by the tick borne protozoan parasi~~ ID~11~~igaDn~l~!~ i~ an economic 11y import,mt disease of cattle [Dscl’1lJnko>1skr and Luhs, 1904).
