Abstract this work was undertaken in the experimental farm of Assiut University during the years 1968/69 and 1969/70 to stu&y the status of certain macro— and micro—nutrients in Gorbera Jsmesonii, Hook and their effects on its growth and flowering as affected by iron foliar application. Three iron sait were used (Fe-.EDDHA, Ferrous citrate and Ferrous sulphate) as different sources of iron. Levels of iron used were zero, three and six p.p.m. and were applied during the first year, while a fourth level of 12 p.p.m. was added during the second year. Two clones of gorbora were sprayed once every month from the beginning of December until end of June. The following results were obtained: 1- Spraying of iron at tho lowest level prevented possible appe aranoe of iron deficiency symptoms. 2-. loaf area and irifloresoence djaotor 0±’ the to clones used respond variably to iron lovls. 3-.
