Abstract
With decrease prevalence of breast feeding and increase in cow’s
eeding, many problems arised to endanger the life of our infants such
rgy, infection, malnutrition and vitamin deficiency.
So this work is conducted in the Zagazig University Hospitals from
to December 1993 on 100 healthy infants with age range from 9
04 months with no sex predilection.
They did not receive any diet supplementation except for milk. They
Duped into 5 groups according to the type of milk they received:
D 1: (Breast fed group)
D IT: (Cow’s milk fed)
HI: (Formula fed)
IV: (Breast and formula fed)
p V: (Breast and Cow’s milk fed).
esults show that:
There is no significant difference ill the various groups regarding
eight, head circumference.
There is significant difference between cow’s milk fed and breast &
ila fed groups as well as between breast & cow’s milk fed and breast
nula fed groups regarding the length.
