Abstract
Oropharyngeal screening occurs through Conventional oral examination,brush cytology. Toludine blue and light based detection systems have a great role in prediction of early lesions. Histopathological examination through fine needle aspiration biopsy consider the best method for diagnosis of salivary gland tumors.In oesophageal cancer new endoscopic imaging modalities which hold the promise for better endoscopic detection of early cancer and precancerous lesions such as Barrett’s oesophagus. Imaging with double-contrast upper gastrointestinal series,endoscopy especially chromo and magnification subtypes are better methods in detecting gastric cancer. Capsule endoscopy is a relatively new technique that allows visualization of the entire small bowel. Colonoscopy is still the gold standard investigation for screening of colorectal cancer. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography providing a highly sensitive tool for non-invasive imaging of the pancreato-biliary tree.
