Abstract Clinical ,pathological and parasitological tests were used to deterirnine prevalence of liver fluke mcng sheep, cattle and donkeys at some places in Giza governorate. We found Fasciola gigantica as the only cause of the disease in examined samples. The highest infestation rate was in sheep then cattle then donkeys. Infestation rate was higher in male sheep than in female sheep and in old sheep than young ones. Statistical analysis of the diagnostic tests proved indirect ELISA was the best test but Western blotting was the worst. RAPD-PCR proved presence of genetic divergence among Fasciola gigantica isolates fro4m sheep, cattle and donkeys. Prepared recombinant Fasciola hepatica proteins (Cathepsin and Thioredoxin) were mixed with Quil A and evaluated in sheep groups by antibodies level , fecal egg count, fluke burdens weight and number, blood cells, liver enzymes and pathology. Thioredoxin has more efficacy than Cathepsin. |
