Abstract
Multiplex PCR assay as one reaction substitute the single PCR and gave the opportunity to type C. perfringens isolates that could not be typed by toxin neutralization methods.Crude culture supernatant of C. perfringens that contains all secreted proteins offered significant protection against C. perfringens. These secreted proteins except alpha toxin could not be determined by Western blotting method using polyvalent antisera against the culture supernatant of C. perfringens type A prepared in rabbits. Probiotic with whole culture of C. perfringens type A treatment resulted in a significant enhancement of serum antibodies against C. perfringens (virulent strain). In contrary, the immunization with C. perfringens and/or probiotic and acidifier had no significant effect on serum antibodies against NDV (Hitchner B1).
