Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to study the THz teclmology .We stal1ed first by studying the fs high power Laser pulses propagation in the atmosphere and how it could pass through fog using Monte Carlo code. This study is imp0l1ant to enter a new era of transmitting Laser signals through atmosphere in the THz regime which opens the route to applications as Free Space Optical Communications (FSO) and remote sensing.
Then we studied MTMs and its applications in the THz regime. To advance our understanding of MTMs and its interactions with electromagnetic waves we designed a novel MTM unit cell and used it in designing a multi-bal1d patch antenna.
