Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the knowledge and practices of pregnant women about tetanus toxoid and reasons why they missed this vaccine during pregnancy.
This study was carried out on 1000 women who attended Antenatal, Postnatal and Family Planning Clinics of Assiut University Hospital and Me centers of Walideya and Kolta. Home visits were also carried out for some women in Walideya.
In order to achieve the aim of this work, an interview schedule was used. It divided into parts:
1-General characteristics of the sample.
2-Knowledge of women related to tetanus toxoid.
3-PJadices of women regarding tetanus toxoid in previous and current pregnancy.
