Abstract

The granites and allied rocks exposed at Wadi Safaga to the north of Gabal Um El-Huwitat are discussed to know some informations about the petrography, geochemistry, mineralogy and radioactivity. The lithotectonic rock units exposed in the area are arranged starting with the youngest as : Syenogranites ( Um El-Huwitat granites ), postgranite dykes and felsite sheets, monzogranites Younger granites ), Dokhan wolcanics and granodiorite-tonalite rocks (order granitoids ).
