Abstract In recent years many studies have been developed to find out different solutions for the IPMSM drive control having the features of quick and precise torque response, and reduction of the complexity of field oriented control algorithms. The DTC technique has been recognized as a viable and robust solution to achieve these requirements. In this thesis, the implementation of DTC in IPMSM drives is described and the switching table is introduced. The modeling of PMSM with particular focus on the interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) is presented An off-line parameter estimation algorithm for such type of motors is adapted and verified experimentally. Modeling and simulation studies have both revealed that a six voltage-vector switching table is more appropriate for IPMSM drive at low speed There are many problems of DTC drive system, such as large torque and fluxripples. In order to overcome these drawbacks, space vector modulated (SVM)DTC has been applied. Based on the proposed motor model, the dynamic performance of a SVM DTC drive system is simulated. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed model, experimental results based on the proposed scheme are carried. Furthermore, a modified method is proposed which introduces dithering signal injection so that the flux and torque ripples are reduced. The simulation results for the proposed method are given and analyzed. |
