Abstract
In this Thesis two projects are presented. The first project described the synthesis of an aryl
phenanthroimidazole moiety as a conjugated flexible intercalator to improve the hybridization
efficiency of a triplex forming oligonucleotide. The second project described the synthesis of
Twisted Intercalating Nucleic Acids (TINA analogue) with High Physiological Thermal Triplex.
