Abstract hypospadias is one of the most common genital anomalies in male newborns.Classification of hypospadias not only on morphological bases but also on practical bases into: Simple form, (anterior hypospadias), Severe form, (posterior and complex hypospadias). Many different techniques are described and used for complex hypospadias repair, The techniques available fall in two broad categories (single and two staged repairs). Single-stage repair use local tissues and imported grafts. The two-stage technique for urethral reconstruction described; Their first stage involves excision of scar tissue from previous procedures and places grafts (skin, buccal mucosa, lingual mucosa, bladder mucosa) onto the penis and into a groove in the glans. Closure of this graft to form a neo-urethra and reconstruction if the glans and the penile shaft skin is performed at the second stage, after an interval of several months. For hypospadias cripples management, the two-stage repair provides good outcomes with a low complication rate. Recently, Tissue engineering has been proposed as a strategy for urethral reconstruction. Conclusion: hypospadias Classified in to: Simple form, (anterior hypospadias), Severe form, (posterior and complex hypospadias). The techniques available for repair fall in two broad categories (single and two staged repairs). The two-stage repair provides good outcomes with a low complication rate. |
