Abstract
A quasi-experimental study conducted to evaluate the effect of non-pharmacological
measures on relief of low back pain during labor.• and to help women in labor to have
easier and comfortable delivery. at the delivery room in Suez Canal University Hospital
and Ismaitia general hospitals. The total sample con.sisted of 200 parturient women. 100
control who received hospital routine care. and a heat application group and a back
massage group of 50 women each. The inteivention was successful in lowering low
back: pain during labor, and improving maternal and fetal outcomes.
