Abstract The present study is a quasi- experimental study, conducted on 98 patieats at Suez Canal UDivenity Hospital ia ismalia, iming to evaluate the nursing care given by the nurse far urologic patient during the first 72 hours after surpry on occurrence of postopelative complications. The sample was divicled into coutrol group 8Dd experimeotal ar study poop; the comrol group includes 49 patient received nursiag care by hospital nunes. whereas, the experimental or study group include 49 patients their nursing care by the raearcher. data were collecaed 1hrough Alderte post-anesthetic rocovery observational checklist in tho post-ancstbotic care unit during the immediate postopcntive period, while using poltopcntive progress flow record in the poltopcntive period The rseults indicated that there was astatisticaly significant diffiirence between diploma and intennodiate educated nurses in relation to respiratory, cimJJatory, thermoregulator, psU”Ointesrinal complications and patients traosfcmd to imensive care unit from recovay room. The study nsuJts also had shown high of respiratory, cileulately, psatriales”W, WOUDfi• beating process. urimay BDd ceotral nervous system from diploma-educated nurses in the surgical unit. Also the results revealed that most respiratory, circulatory, gasaroiotestinal and thermoreguJaaory complications in age groupe below 40 years than patients more tbaa 40 years for COntrol group compared to cxprimental one reported reducation of these complications in both age group in the recovay room. The results also bad shown statistically sipificant clitfenJ.nces between control and experima1tal groups regarding to sex towanl.-piratoty complications. On the other hand, high perceotages. of urimay tract complications in the area related to burning sensatin and retentin in the control group comparing with study groupe in the surgical unit reprding site of operation of the patients. |
