Abstract Leukemia is still regarded as one of the most important diseases of children. Recent advances in the therapy of childhood cancer have increased the chances of long-term survival for many children. Even with the hopeful prognosis that can be realistically given in most cases; the emotional impact of the diagnosis of leukemia is extreme and long lasting on the parents, particularly on the mothers. So, when the nurse plays an important role in coping for the children with leukemia. An appropriate assessment and adequate nursing management are the cornerstones to help the child and his family to cope with the stress of illness and therapy. The assessment of mothers’ concerns and coping strategies will provide a further basis for helping mothers’ adaptation. So, this study was done on those children. The Aim of this Study was to: Identify Concerns and Coping Strategies of Mothers toward their School-Age Children with Leukemia. Materials and Method: Materials: This study was carried out at the Out-patient Hematology Clinic of El-Shatby University Children’s Hospital.
