Abstract

In Egypt about thirty million tones of agricultural wastes are annually produced; most of these wastes are burnet and contribute to environmental pollution. Agricultural wastes have an important application animal feed and as soil conditioner in reclamation and sand lands which represent 97% of the whole area in Egypt. The most common and produced agricultural waste is the rice straw; therefore, the aim of the study is converting rice straw to useful materials. The main contents of this waste are hemicellulose, cellulose, lignin and small amounts of protein and dissolved sugars. To increase nutritive value to this wastes the main problem embodiment in deliginjfication and partial hydrolysis of the polysaccharide contents.
