Abstract
-Clopidogrel, is a thienopyridine derivative the potent antiplatelet and
antithrombotic drug which widely used as a single compound for the
reduction of atherosclerotic event. Atorvastatin is a synthetic lipid
lowering agent and Amlodipine is a dihyDROPyridine calcium chanal
blocking agents. The combination of Atorvastatin with Amlodipine
demonstrated significant dose related reduction in blood pressure and
lipids in patients with co-morbid hypertension and dyslipidemia.
Objective: The aim of this work is to assess the quality of some generic
products containing Clopidogrel as single drug product and Atorvastatin
with Amlodipine as a combination drug product comparing with the
innovated products, using new analytical methods.
The aspect of content, impurities profile and comparative bioavailability
were taking as parameters for the comparison.
