Abstract In this study, asymmetric cellulose acetate-polyethylene glycol (CA-PEG) ultrafiltration (UF) membranes were prepared using phase inversion method. The fabricated membranes were characterized in terms of porosity, water contact angle, morphology and mechanical performance. The effect of CA and polyethylene glycol (PEG) concentrations and evaporating time (ET) on rejection and flux of the synthesized CA membranes were investigated. Experiments were conducted using Box-Behnken statistical experimental design. A commonly applied statistical treatment, analysis of variance. |
