Abstract

It has always been proved that using chemotherapeutic agents is usually accompanied with severe and non promising side effects; there is no question about that. Many researchers exert a lot of efforts to lessen these side effects without adding more sufferings for cancer patients healthily or in expanses.
In the present study, Forty eight male Wistar strain albino rats 130- 150 g were obtained from the department of animal health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. The animals
were kept under hygienic condition. They were maintained on basal
ration and tap water and photoperiod 12L/12D cycle. The animals
were divided into eight equal groups as following:
•1 st group: used as (-ve) control (normal saline)
•2nd group: Intra peritoneal administered Mesna drug at a dose of
30 mg/kg b.wt for 4 weeks
•3rd group: Intra peritoneal administered Quercetin at a dose of
180 mg/kg b.wt) for 4 weeks
•4th group: Orally administered with AGE 2 mg/kg b.wt
•5th group: was given only BLM at a dose of 15 mg mg/kg b.wt
for 4 weeks
•6th group: Was given combination of both Mesna+BLM
•7th group: was given combination of both Quercetin+BLM
•8th group: was given combination of both AGE+BLM
