Abstract The rate of absorption of poorly water soluble drugs when administered orally may be limited by its dissolution rate In addition they are usually provided in high doses So, attempts have been maded to modify the dissolution characteristics of such drugs. The water soluble drugs must be administered several times daily Since they have short half-lives An attempt to develop sustained release preparations with an extended clinical effect for these drugs was also considered. |
