Abstract This dissertation demonstrates the design procedure of low power, high IRR and highly attenuated blockers Quadraure Band-pass ~L modulator in accordance with the Bluetooth standard. A linear models implemented in MATLAB is used to examine the behavior of the modulator in the presence of circuit imperfections. A 0.13 urn CMOS technology is used to implement Quadrature modulator in the transistor level. Simulation results show that the Quadrature modulator achieves 76dB SNR for I MHz bandwidth. It consumes 3.5mW from a 1.1V supply. A minimum image rejection ratio of 56 dB is achieved. Key words: low-if receiver, Quadrature Band-pass ~L modulator, continuous time delta-sigma modulator, image rejection ratio, CMOS, behavioral modeling. |
