Abstract Most of the petroleum and petrochemical industrials rely on carbon steel alloys as primary backbone and skeletons. Deterioration of these alloys is referred to severe multidimensional corrosion attacks due to change in operating condition. The main target of the present study is to form a type of protective coating characterized with the following properties: 1- Highly adherent with the alloys surface, even when high temperature is, operationally assessed. 2- Highly resistance to physical, chemical and mechanical environment. It is believed that the amino compounds coating have many characteristics which could provide such the above mentioned properties. Therefore two compounds of polyamide-urethane compounds were prepared by poly condensation reaction under inert atmosphere The structures of these Compounds are confirmed by I.R and 1HNMR. These compounds are formulated with inorganic fillers and or pigments of Zn dust, CaCO3, Ti02, A1203 and Silica. Which are cured with different ratios of TDI as curing agent. The formulations E0- E7 for two binders are applied on the prepared surface of carbon steel alloy specimens by brushed method. To get the adequate conditions at which the optimal curing agent ratios are carried out with respect to the optimum time to drying the formed films on the surface of carbon steel alloy. |
