Abstract
Emergency endoscopic sclerotherapy is the most widely accepted treatment for acute esophageal variceal haemorrhage,which is the most frequent cause of death in cirrhotic patients,repated sclerotherapy courses can achieve the eradication of varices in order to prevent rebleeding.
