المستخلص The main objectives of the present study were to synthesize hydroxyapatite and silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles using a chemical precipitation method. These nanoparticles can serve as a controlled local drug delivery system for anticancer agents and antibiotics. Hydroxyapatite and silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were characterized using FTIR, XRD and TEM analysis. Examination of TEM analysis for HA,HA5 and HAlO samples showed that all samples were in the nanosize. For HA nanoparticles were of nanosize with hexagonal -like morphology indicating good agreement with X-ray analysis . Size of nanoparticles range between less than 10 nm and 100 nm.and in case of HA 5 and HA 10 TEM analysis shows that size distribution was of globular-shaped silver nanoparticles in matrix of hydroxyapatite. Nanoparticles approximately range between less than 10 nm and 100 nm for HA5 and for HA 10 the range of particle size was approximately between 2 nm and 10 nm. |
