Abstract
The prevalence of occult atheromatous coronary disease among industrialized communities is so high that the incidental finding of coronary disease on pathologic examination is the norm rather than the exception.Thus, most individuals with nonobstructive coronary arterial disease are asymptomatic and manifest no clinical signs nor symptoms of the disease process. Prolactin is increasingly recognized to play a stimulatory role in the inflammatory response.
