Abstract Regional anesthesia is more advantageous compared with general anesthesia due to patient being conscious,protecting the airway reflexes patient’s early mobilization, and a shorter time of hospital stay.Intravenous regional anesthesia is a simple and almost always very effective technique.Tourniquet pain,lack of post operative pain and the possibility of occurrence of toxicity due to systemic absorption are the most common complication of IVRA.Aim of the work The aim of this study was to evaluate the analgesic effect of ondansetron or nitroglycerine when added to lidocaine for intravenous regional anesthesia(IVRA). |
